Take the 2 most opposite ideas and you may conjure up something close to, “Calabasas” and “Waterpark.” Well, don’t look now but it seems that the overwhelming oxymoron will soon make it’s home in cozy Calabasas. $8 Million later and we will attract families from all over to the current Juan Bautista De Anza Park, at the intersection of Las Virgenes Road and Lost Hills Road.
The proposal is to build a year round pool, a lazy river, spray-water playground, a large slide and a number of other structures ranging from
a snack shop to locker rooms.
Homeowners should take a trifle of comfort in the fact that officials say that they will hold community outreach meetings to address issues that will likely arise. Traffic congestion, noise, lighting, security and other problems associated with a high usage facility are just some of the problems.
