Keep your training fresh with Lululemon
By: Tammy Sue Roberts
I met Coach Lizzie Brenkus while I was training for the Arizona Ironman in 2009. She too was training for Arizona Ironman and we met online and then started spending time together. I talked her into running our local Calabasas Classic 10K in 2009 and she went on to WIN IT. She is smoking fast. She also just completed the Kona Ironman World Championship in October with a time of 11:45:08. She is an amazing athlete. She is now the run ambassador of Lululemon. The Run Club meets Monday nights at 6pm and all levels are welcome. We do long runs, interval training, core strength work, raining, etc. There are also guest speakers at least once a month covering topics such as nutrition, massage, yoga, coaching etc.
It’s a fantastic group of people and it really helps to rub elbows with like-minded individuals and keep the training fresh. Ironman training can be very lonely at times. Lots of solo hours spent running and biking and swimming. It’s motivating and educational.
FYI, I just signed up for Arizona Ironman 2011 this morning. This club will be pivotal in my training.
